The new version of transponder being used at WSP, Canaan, NESC and the VMA are far superior to the old
boot mount type. They give a stronger signal at the finish line and will last 8 YEARS. They do need
some help from you though. You MUST recharge these transponders just like any other device you own with a
battery… think cell phone!
Charging your transponder
1) Remove your transponder from the bike and place it in the charging cradle. John Dains from Trackside
recommends a charge of 4 to 6 hours between your race weekends.
*Charge for NO MORE than 18 hours. Charging for more than 18 hours at once can actually reduced the
lifespan of the NiCad battery in the transponder.
2) Once charging is complete simply unplug the charger
but leave the transponder in the cradle. Being in
the cradle places the transponder in “sleep mode” which turns it off and keeps its charge.
Mounting your transponder
1) Tightly zip tie the mount to your upper right fork tube. There is a stamp on the mount
that shows which end should be pointing towards the track.
2) Place transponder in mount and clip in with the heavy rubber strap. Again, the
transponder has a stamp which shows you the direction to mount.
That’s all there is to it. It's not hard but you need to
treat it like any other maintenance you do to your bike between
race weekends.
First off a huge thank you to the The Dan Cole Motocross Scholarship Fund for helping Ryann and Ezra Miles defray the cost of the trip to the Loretta Lynn National. It is greatly appreciated.
There was record heat in Tennessee this year. Officially it was reported as 111 degrees during Ryann's moto on Wednesday but I think if you asked anyone there they would say it was hotter! Hats off to the Christian Motorcyclist Association and the whole MXSports crew who did a fantastic job of taking care of the riders.
I have posted photos from the week here.

Just posted over 300 photos from the Loretta Lynn Northeast Regional Qualifier held at Pleasure Valley Motocross Park June 26th and 27th. Click the photo below.
Ryann has locked up the Spring Series Girl's class Championship
at Winchester SpeedPark. She also finished 5th overall in
the 125 Youth C class onboard her Yamaha YZ125.
We would like to send out a big thank you to our sponsors who are helping
us out this year in Ryann's quest for a National Championship at
Loretta Lynn's in Tennessee.

Had a great day of racing Saturday at MX-207 in Lyman, ME. Ryann raced the Open C, Youth C, Women's and Supermini classes. It's a great track and the facilities are top notch. Can't wait to get up there again.
We'll have all the photos posted soon.
Dana returns home from school tomorrow and then leaves very early Thursday morning for the Northeast Amateur Regional Championship in Virginia with Jack Camelio. He will be travelling and working the entire month of June with John and Abby Dains of TrackSide Software; going to the Loretta Lynn Regional championships in VA, GA, NY and PA.
2009 Southwick National photos are now posted. Click an image below to go to the gallery.
John Dowd, at 44 years old, pulls off a 3rd place overall finish on one of the toughest tracks on the National circuit. Justin Barcia gets his first ever 1st place overall finish in his professional career.

In an effort to bring a little continuity to the site I have incorporated the design of our
message board throughout the entire site.
I am in the process of updating all the pages across the site so it's just a matter of moving the content
(the pictures and words) into the new layout. Now that I have the design down it shouldn't take too long get
the rest of the site done.
One of the features I've added is "HighSlide". If you see a photo (like the one to the left)
you can give it a click and see a larger size without having to
navigate away from the page you are on. This won't be the
case for all photos but go ahead and give it a try.
